Welcome to Lamar Elementary
"Catch the Wave to Success"
Thought for the Week:
We first make our habits, and then our habits make us.
~ John Dryden
As the fourth six week period gets under way it is very I important that you, as parents and/or guardians, look closely at the study habits of your child(ren). How do you help them form good habits?
Ask yourself:
- Do I make sure my child reads 15-20 minutes every day?
- Do I encourage them to do their best every day; especially before I drop them off in the morning for school or before they leave the house?
- Do I help them with their homework and make sure it is complete?
- Do I ask my child(ren) to share one or two things they learned at school so they know how important a good education is to me?
If you do not practice asking any of these questions, we the Lamar Staff challenge you to make these questions a habit in your daily routine so that your child(ren) form good behaviors that lead them to great academic success.
At Lamar, we believe in your children and tell them daily to
Do their BEST because they are the BEST
